While we’re waiting for fall to make it to San Diego, the least we can do is get our homes ready, right? Whether it’s an autumn wreath on the door, or a jack-o-lantern with a silly face, the cool fall weather brings with it a need to remember the warmth of summer in some way or another.
Texture is one of the best ways to add a little bit of cozy warmth to a room with very little effort and one of the most popular textures of the season are more accessible than ever. Knits are quickly coming back in popularity, and whether you make it yourself or buy it from someone who knows what they’re doing, a cable knit throw will instantly transform any room. Even while it’s still too warm to actually cuddle up underneath!
Sheep skin rugs (or pillows!) are another great way to add a natural, cozy texture to those chilly autumn nights. Curl up in front of the fire and marvel at the fact that these natural beauties fit with nearly any décor or color scheme!
Fall means changing colors and bare trees, so why not bring nature inside with earthy decorations like these twigs in vases? Go smaller scale with a table centerpiece or go big with light-up twigs from your local home decorating store.
