Presents and sells a variety of flooring products including carpet, area rugs, tile, stone, wood and laminate. Assists clients in the selection and purchase of flooring, following up with the client & installers to the completion of the job.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists customers with their flooring selection and purchase.
- Draws the floor plan and measurements, calculates the exact amount of flooring needed and generates an exact price quote for clients.
- Schedules measure appointments and installations.
- Must be computer literate.
REQUISITES

JOB STATEMENT
Works under general supervision. Operates all areas of front desk responsibility including the phone system, greeting customers, using the cash register and selling a variety of floor-care products. May be asked to complete special projects to assist administration operations in addition to routine responsibilities mentioned above.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answers all phone calls from the 16-line phone system.
- Greets all patrons who enter the store, directs them to the appropriate showroom area, and calls the next available salesperson to assist the customer.
- Processes customer pick-up paperwork and accepts payments for those products.
- Presents and sells sundry floor care products, small remnants and area rug padding.
- Operates cash register.

Maintain clean, organized and orderly appearance of warehouse and property. Assists sales staff and clients with customer service for cash and carry and product selection. Work with a variety of flooring products including carpet, area rugs, tile, stone, wood and laminate. Clean appearance, good work ethic and team attitude are necessary.

- Makes cuts on carpet and flooring rolls and prepares proper materials for installations
