Choosing your Laminate Floor

Wilsonart has a wide variety of styles, levels of thickness, and qualities to choose from. Selecting a floor can be as simple as picking a color and species, or you can decide by how much traffic your floor will be subjected to.

Coordination with your room
With so many wood grain looks available in laminate, most consumers are tempted to try to match new flooring to the color of existing cabinetry. And while it may work out in some instances, you will probably be more satisfied with the end result if you choose a contrasting or coordinating look.

Angle options
Look at your flooring options from different angles: laminate flooring planks can be installed on the diagonal (instead of straight) -- and tiles can either be laid corner-to-corner or in a staggered manner to create a variety of different looks. You'll need to add an extra 15-20% more material for waste for these types of installations, but the results are worth it!

Customization options
Looking to add an instant designer touch to your home? Try combining two different Wilsonart Flooring patterns to create custom looks like checkerboards, borders or insets -- just be sure that both patterns are from the same product line, i.e., Estate Plus only works with Estate Plus, Classic only works with Classic, etc.
