"Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse (CALA)
held the 5th annual CALA GALA dinner and
silent auction on Saturday, February 9th,
2008 at the beautifully remodeled Morena
Boulevard showroom. This elegant event raised
money to support CALA's educational
programs, including its 12th annual high
school scholarship contest. More than 200
people attended in support of CALA’s
mission to educate the public and elected
officials about the financial and emotional
costs of frivolous and abusive lawsuits.
George Coles, CALA founder and Vice Chairman,
graciously donated the use of his showroom
as well as his dedicated staff to help make
this the most successful GALA to date! We
extend our deepest thanks to George for his
unwavering commitment to CALA. His fourteen
